Pre Race
After a week with disturbing experiences in training session, because of never lapping one lap without a major mistake, I feet not much confidence for this race. Yesterday one of the Heusinkveld MX-5 World Tour guys finished a 1.53.xxx and was five (!!) seconds faster. Anyway I hope to make three races without incidents, but I have to say, that there are some difficult areas on this track, where it is super easy to spin or to crash.
I will go slow, just to be sure to finish. This is not my track to race aggressevly. Hopefully all other will be able to keep their emotions down too. In midfield racing is always risky. I will see.
Race One
Start 17 – Finish 19 from 23 racers
Personal best: 1:56.219 | Fastest time: 1:53.396
After a qualifying, in which my fastest lap was handicapped by another driver, who forced me nearly out at the last chicance – lost 2 seconds there – someone from his team „shoutet“ via text I would destroy fast laps from other guys. …......... A second remark from him was „Fast is a strong word.“. Such arrogant manners are speaking for themselfes.
No more words from me to that, but a BIG „thank you“ to Max Wright, who spoke out for me.
After start in turn one suddenly a car was direct in front of me. It spun from right to left and I hit him in the side. He was able to race and I had unfortunately a over two minutes towing. The race was done, but i drove it to the end. Not giving up and trying to make every possible point.
Race Two
Start 2 – Finish 4 from 21 racers
Personal best: 1:55.385 | Fastest time: 1:53.710
Yeah. Last lap small mistake, but TOP 5!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it!
Race Three
Start 13 – Finish 14 from 18 racers
Personal best: 1:55.522 | Fastest time: 1:54.374
Nice racing with many mistakes during close overtakings and turn ins. Was fun to battle with Mick Barrie, Lorn Murray and Mark King.
